My research focuses on the intersection of care ethics and its critical insights relationality, responsibility, pragmatism and solidarity, with humanitarian ethics, which builds on humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and indepedence. I am both interested in how host societies receive and (professionally) care for people seeking asylum, as well as in how international organisations provide care and support in (prolonged) emergcy situations. Currently, I am researching the challenges health care workers experience in their daily care work in a hospital in Jerusalem.
