Seminar: In discussion with experts from Rwanda in sociotherapy (10 maart)

In this seminar (10 March) we invite international panel members to reflect with students on their experiences rooted in the daily realities of grassroots intervention with conflict-affected communities in Rwanda. The seminar will address questions such as the limitations of an individualistic approach, intercultural and intergenerational issues and rituals. The panellists work in the Community-Based Sociotherapy Rwanda (CBS Rwanda). With an introduction by  Em. Prof. Annemiek Richters & Nicole Immler. Read more.

This workshop is situated in a collaboration between University of Humanistic Studies and ARQ (National Psychotrauma Center) through the endowed chair 'Psychotrauma, loss and grief following disasters and violence' by Geert Smid. We aim for an intercultural conversation that will give new input to various discussions that we have here in the Netherlands, around mourning, care, therapy, etc.
