Chaplaincy Symposium

On Friday 1, 2019, the University of Humanistic Studies (UvH), the University Center for Chaplaincy Studies (UCGV) and the Academic Advisory Board of the Association of Spiritual Caregivers (VGVZ) organise the symposium Building Knowledge for Chaplaincy in Healthcare: Future Directions.

The symposium takes place on the occasion of the honorary doctorate endowed upon Prof. dr. George Fitchett by the University of Humanistic studies. Prof. dr. Fitchett is a pioneer and leader in chaplaincy research worldwide. He is the founder of the chaplaincy research institute Transforming Chaplaincy and a co-investigator in numerous chaplaincy research projects. The aim of the symposium is to discuss future directions for chaplaincy research. Further speakers are Prof. dr. Gaby Jacobs, Prof. dr. Tineke Abma, Dr. Sjaak Körver and Dr. Anja Visser.
