Simon van der Weele is a philosopher and qualitative researcher. He received his BA degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Tilburg University (2012) and his MA in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam (2015). His research interests include (empirical) ethics, ethics of care and philosophical anthropology. 


Simon's dissertation is an empirical-philosophical project on dependency and care for people with intellectual disabilities. His project is supervised by Evelien Tonkens, Carlo Leget, and Femmianne Bredewold. The project is co-funded by the Dutch Ministry of Health (VWS). 


Simon teaches tutorials in two modules of the MA Humanistic Studies.
