Geert Smid is psychiatrist, associate director of residency training, Foundation Centrum '45 / ARQ National Psychotrauma Centre, The Netherlands. He published about the prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment of PTSD and traumatic grief and stress sensitization. Books: Handboek Traumatische Rouw (2018, with Jos de Keijser and Paul Boelen), Deconstructing Delayed Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (2011). His current research on PTSD and traumatic grief focuses on meaning attribution and epidemiological and cultural aspects, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment.
