Gender Equality Plan
As of January 1, 2022, all institutions wishing to be considered for funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe Research Program must have a published Gender Equality Plan (GEP).
At the University of Humanistic Studies (UHS), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are spearheaded, with the commitment: an inclusive, diverse and safe learning and working environment where everyone feels at home and where a diversity of perspectives are engaged and considered. This is how we enhance the quality of teaching and research.
Promoting inclusion and diversity is both a goal and a process. The following aspects are defining for UHS:
- UHS consciously and actively promotes a stimulating teaching and research environment, where everyone can feel equally at home
- Policy, strategy, education plan and incentive schemes are designed to provide equal opportunities for all
- Recruitment and selection procedures are designed to counteract unconscious gender inequality
- Gender equality is promoted in all levels of the university community.
On the following pages you can read more about how the University of Humanistic Studies fulfills the above aspects and thus also meets the requirements set by the EU.
Gender equality, diversity and inclusion are target areas for policy at the University of Humanistic Studies, with the aim of creating a learning and working environment where everyone feels at home.
