15 November 2021

On 1 December 2021 Els van Wijngaarden organises together the mini-symposium 'The role of choice in death and dying in late life' with the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing. Several experts - Allan Kellehear, Nancy Berlinger and Ashley Moyse - will reflect on the increasing role of choice around the end of life.

More and more people want to have a grip and control on the moment and manner of their death. This sometimes involves complicated choices. Els van Wijngaarden, associate professor at the University for Humanistic Studies, analyses in her research how this changes our approach to death and what the impact of this is on our lives, old age, and the way we die.

Interested? You can participate online on 1 December from 14:00-16:00 via Zoom.
