Research positively assessed by international review committee
6 May 2021
At the end of last year, the research and graduate school of the University for Humanistic Studies were evaluated by an international review committee. The visitation report, which also contains information about the composition of the committee, is now available on our website.
The review covered the period 2014 - 2019 and was set up according to a new structure, the so-called Strategy Evaluation Protocol 2021 - 2027. The committee was impressed by the professionalisation of research and the Graduate school in the period 2014 - 2019.
The research volume has increased significantly and the appreciation and recognition for researchers from academia and society are beyond dispute. The measures taken within the graduate school to improve education and guidance and to prevent students from dropping out are considered adequate. For the coming period, the Committee recommends focusing on robust and joint research programming and the promotion of a culture of inclusiveness.
Based on the recommendations of the committee, an improvement plan was drawn up that was submitted in draft form to colleagues at the University for Humanistic Studies for discussion. This plan will form the basis for a new strategic research policy of our university.
