University participates in Global Leadership Summit South Africa

The University of Humanistic Studies participates in an international exchange program which will take place between 8 -15 July 2018 at the University of the Free State in South Africa. The primary aim of this so called Global Leadership Summit is to exchange ideas and international experiences in addressing salient issues around diversity, racism, racial integration and social justice in Higher Education. Three bachelor students and two staff members from our University will join the program.
The main program components include:
- A campus-based program for all international delegates with dialogue in small diverse groups
- Faculty – and Departmental-based programs (lectures, research seminars, meetings to discuss possibilities for collaborative projects)
- Excursions aligned to GLS objectives and exposure to South African culture
Our students will be placed in an international group of Bachelor student-delegates from the University of the Free State and fifteen other universities from across the United States, Europe and Asia. All participating students will be housed in UFS residences on campus. Selected students will be actively involved in a counter-visit program of UFS Bachelor students at our University in 2019.
The UvH will partly sponsor the international travel costs of the selected Bachelor students from our University. The UFS will sponsor local program costs.
Are you a student from our University and do you want to apply?
More information can be found on the intranet. Please, apply before Friday February 16 2018.
