Chloé Roegiers Mayeux
PhD Candidate
After finishing her MA in Gender & Diversity in Ghent, Chloé moved in September 2021 to the Netherlands to start a PhD about the tension between sexual solidarity and cultural solidarity regarding gender-based violence. She works for the University of Humanistic Studies (under supervision of prof.dr. Sawitri Saharso and prof.dr. Evelien Tonkens), but is also part of a larger European project "SOLiDi". Because of that, she also has a third supervisor: dr. Jonathan Darling from Durham University. Her project is co-funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant.
