Utrecht Summerschool
De Utrecht Summer School biedt jaarlijks zo’n 160 cursussen aan, waaraan 3000 studenten en professionals uit de hele wereld deelnemen, zowel op locatie als online. De Summer School is een samenwerkingsverband van de Universiteit Utrecht, de Hogeschool Utrecht, de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten HKU en de Universiteit voor Humanistiek. De aangesloten hoger onderwijs instellingen verzorgen hoogwaardige, overwegend geaccrediteerde cursussen in het Engels op bachelor-, master- en PhD-niveau.
De Universiteit voor Humanistiek richt zich op eigentijdse vragen die gaan over de inrichting van een humane en zinvolle samenleving. Vaak gaat het om publieke vraagstukken waar een ethische en normatieve kant aan zit. Hoe willen we invulling geven aan onze democratische rechtsstaat? Hoe gaan we om met de verwerking van historisch onrecht? Wat verstaan we onder goede zorg?

The Art and Craft of Ethical Influencing (7 - 9 juli 2025)

This course focuses on mimesis as a meaning constructing relationship. Meaning is taken here as a connective relationship between something meaning-demanding and something meaning-giving.
The Politics of Disablement (20 - 22 augustus 2025)
This Summer School brings together scholars from various fields in the humanities and social sciences interested in thinking about the intersection of disability studies and politics. The event aims to explore the diverse ways in which disability is understood and experienced.
