Recent developments in democratic renewal

This study maps out various democratic experiments and presents them schematically on the basis of existing research into the conditions for successful deliberative democracy, incorporated into a process-based view of democracy in three phases: input, throughput and output, partly inspired by the work of political philosopher Mark Warren.
