National Student Survey 2026: students are very satisfied with the UvH
Students are even more satisfied with their studies at the University of Humanistic Studies than they were last year, according to the annual national student survey.

For some time now, the UvH has been performing above the national benchmark, and this year student ratings have risen further across virtually all aspects measured. One of the key figures is overall satisfaction with the programme. The previous average score of 4.06 (on a scale of 1 to 5) was already excellent; this year it has risen to 4.19 (national benchmark: 3.93).
Another striking finding is the score for the question of whether students would choose their course again. In this respect, the UvH has risen from an average of 4.25 to 4.41. Lecturers and student support continue to be rated very highly, at 4.16 and 4.29 respectively (the benchmark for both areas is around 3.80). Almost 70% of students say they find the workload ‘just right’, compared to just under 60% last year.
Furthermore, the survey reveals growing satisfaction with the content of the programmes (4.28 compared to 4.04 last year), the relevance of the programme to current developments (4.51 compared to 4.28 last year) and student wellbeing (4.18 compared to 4.09 last year). And our perennial top-scorer, satisfaction with the atmosphere, has even gained a fraction of a point this year and is at an all-time high: 4.69 (up from 4.65 last year).
These are results to be proud of, and Director of Education Doret de Ruyter agrees: “It’s fantastic to see that students are so enthusiastic about their courses and the university. In fact, their enthusiasm grows every year. The efforts of the lecturers and student counsellors are greatly appreciated, and of course the students themselves also contribute to making studying at UvH such a wonderful experience.”
