Participation

The University of Humanistic Studies considers the involvement of staff and students in the university to be of great importance. Formal participation by staff and students is organised through the University Council, the Programme Committee and the Student Forum.

Universiteitsraad

The University Council is the central consultative body and represents the interests of staff and students in matters relating to (educational) policy, the budget, educational and examination regulations, organisational developments and the future of the university. The University Council advises the Executive Board on request and on its own initiative and has the right of consent for certain decisions taken by the Executive Board.

Programme Committee

The programme committee advises on the quality of education, partly based on the results of educational evaluations. It raises any issues and advises on the development and implementation of educational policy. The programme committee consists of students and lecturers.

Student Forum

The Student Forum (StuF) shapes the informal student representation at the university and functions as a subcommittee of the student section of the University Council. The main objectives of StuF are: to form a link between students and the University of Humanistic Studies as an organisation, to represent the interests of all students within the university, to inform students and to support students in the various bodies and committees.
