- Period: January 2021 – April 2023
- Status: completed
This European study focuses on elderly people living independently in European societies. The aim of the study is to improve the social inclusion of elderly people and gain a better understanding of their opportunities for personal growth. The focus is on their social needs and their need for meaning.
Description
Based on the knowledge gained from the research, training courses will be developed for various (professional) groups: volunteers and professionals in healthcare and welfare, managers and policymakers.
The University of Humanistic Studies (UvH) is responsible for the conceptual studies and a state-of-the-art analysis of the social needs, meaning needs and potential of older people. All reports and training courses will be available in Dutch, English, Spanish, German and Italian (via the SEE ME website).
