NWO funding for Multivoiced Archive project

How do you give a voice to histories that often remain unheard? In the Meerstemming Archief project, the University of Humanistic Studies is developing a digital interface to make such voices visible and audible. The project is one of four grants awarded within NWO’s Impact Explorer 2025 call.
In the VICI project Dialogics of Justice, Professor Nicole Immler and her team developed the idea of a ‘Multivoiced Archive’ – an archive in which unheard voices are not only collected, but also analyzed, presented, and linked together. This makes it possible to reveal how systemic injustice works and how recognition is achieved.
Thanks to the Impact Explorer grant, work is now underway on a digital interface to circulate this knowledge more effectively and creatively – in education, policy and society. The archive links personal stories to insights about systemic injustice, thereby contributing to transformative justice in education, policy and society.
