Corona update students: higher education open again, new rules for face masks

To our great joy, it was announced on Friday, 14 January, that universities will be reopened! Under certain conditions education on location is allowed again. For the UvH we had already decided - because of the planning of the exam period - that we would only start physical education again from period 3. There is a maximum group size of 75 students.

The following rules apply when you are at the UvH:

  • Stay 1.5 metres from each other; this does not apply if you are seated in a lecture hall.
  • Always wear a face mask, even when sitting down. A disposable face mask (type II) is preferred. You can find more information about this at Please note: the new rule is that you must also wear a face mask when sitting down, so also during lectures. If you are not wearing a face mask, the lecturer will ask you to leave the room.
  • Always follow the indicated walking routes through the building.
  • Always follow the instructions of the supervisors.
  • Do a self-test twice a week; if the result is positive, you will have to get tested at the GGD.
  • Observe the quarantine regulations.
  • In case of complaints, stay at home!

Under certain conditions, teaching may again take place on location. From 7 February onwards, most of the teaching will again take place at the UvH. There is a maximum group size of 75 students. Adapted rules for face masks also apply.
