Even if you have a cold or a flu, it doesn’t mean that you have caught coronavirus. The more likely scenario is that you are suffering a normal cold or flu. If you are ill, then act as you usually would. Stay at home to recover and to not infect others.

You must absolutely stay at home if:

  • You have health complaints (coughing, shortness of breath or fever) and you visited a country/region in the past two weeks that has been identified as a high-risk area. Check the RIVM website for the latest overview.
  • Or, if you have health complaints (coughing, shortness of breath or fever) and you had contact with someone infected with coronavirus.

If you are staff member, please report yourself sick to your direct report.

If you are a student and are obliged to attend an education activity or an exam, please contact the study advisor Inge Marlies Bulsink, i.m.bulsink@uvh.nl

If your complaints (coughing, shortness of breath or fever) get worse: call your doctor or the public health service, GGD.

You can read all about coronavirus on the RIVM website. You can also phone the national information line: 0800-1351.
